What the website coc.tools and the coc.tools app for iPhone do with your data. Last updated 15 October 2026.

In Short

  • No account, no login and no cookies from this site.
  • Your levels, progress and plans stay on your own device.
  • A player tag or clan tag only leaves your device when you ask to load it, and it is not stored.
  • The app has no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting.

What Stays on Your Device

The levels you set, the progress tracker, the builder plan, the budget, the Town Hall you last picked and the export you paste from the game are saved in your browser's storage (on the website) or in the app's own storage. They are not sent to coc.tools. Clearing the site data in your browser, or deleting the app, removes them.

The site and the app read your clipboard only when you tap "Paste from clipboard" or "Paste from the game", to read the export from Clash of Clans. That text is processed on your device.

What Is Sent When You Ask

When you load your village or compare players, your player tag goes to the coc.tools server. It asks the official Clash of Clans API by Supercell for your public game profile, through the proxy of RoyaleAPI (cocproxy.royaleapi.dev), and sends the answer back. Searching a clan by name or tag works the same way; the answer is the member list the game shows to every player.

The answer is kept in Cloudflare's cache for 5 to 10 minutes, so a second request is faster. coc.tools does not save tags or names in a database and does not write them to a log.

Counting Visits

The website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not follow you to other sites. To switch it off in your browser, open coc.tools/?notrack; coc.tools/?track switches it back on.

The app counts nothing.

Other Services

  • Hosting: the website and its server run on Cloudflare. Like every web host, Cloudflare sees the IP address of each request in order to answer it.
  • YouTube: video thumbnails load from YouTube (Google) when a page shows them. Videos play from youtube-nocookie.com only after you tap them, or open in the YouTube app. Google receives your IP address for this.
  • Ko-fi: the Support page of the website loads the donation form of Ko-fi. Ko-fi and Stripe can set their own cookies once you use the form. The app has no donation form.
  • 3D Island: that page loads the three.js library from cdn.jsdelivr.net.
  • Links to the game: "Copy army" and "Open in game" open a link on link.clashofclans.com, which hands the army or layout to Clash of Clans.
  • Links to the Clash of Clans Wiki, Supercell and other sites open those sites; their own privacy policies apply there.

App Permissions

  • Calendar: only when you tap "Add to calendar". The app writes the events you chose and does not read your existing events.
  • Notifications: the reminders for finished upgrades are scheduled on your phone itself. No device token is sent to a server. Alerts for game updates by push are not switched on; before they are, this page will say what they send.
